Private Reserve Chardonnay + Primrose
Primrose are one of the first flowers to bloom in spring. The pale-yellow petals remind us of the light honeyed color of our Private Reserve Chardonnay, while the sturdy green stems allude to the structure that underlies it all. Like the primrose, our chardonnay is a classic, with citrus blossom and jasmine aromas and a delicious freshness like those first warm spring breezes.
Bancroft Ranch Merlot + Violets
Deep woodsy scents and purple hues define violets and our merlot. With their small blooms and heart-shaped leaves, violets are rather unassuming, but they pack a punch of rich aromas and colors. Our Bancroft Ranch Merlot is similar, with complex aromas of ripe dark fruits and vanilla accented with herbal, woodsy notes. Soft at the first sip, the merlot finishes with a surprising bit of spice.
Steinhauer Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon and Lupines
Steinhauer Ranch is high up on Howell Mountain at about 1800 feet. It’s cold, foggy, and rocky. But this is a good thing—the tough conditions draw out intense flavors and tannins and create incredible cabernets. The elevation-loving lupine is this cabernets match. Lupines thrive high up on mountains and can survive the elements while putting out beautiful petals and growing up to 4 feet tall.
Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon and Iris
Iris are a complex, multifaceted flower. Their geometric petals cascade up and down to form an unusual, eye-catching shape. They meet their match in our Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. On the palate, flavors of crème de cassis, black fruit, and baking spices create delicious complexity that’s followed by a lingering, layered finish. The beautiful purple colors of both make them stand out in a crowd and allude to their depth and intensity.
