“Another terrific single-vineyard wine, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Borrow Pit Vineyard comes off a portion of the Gamble Ranch located across from Screaming Eagle. It boasts rich, intense, dark-berried fruit on the nose, ample weight and an almost creamy texture in the mouth, then finishes long and velvety, with terrific intensity and purity.” - Joe Czerwinski, June 2022
““Lots of blackcurrants and mulberry-like fruits as well as tobacco, iron, and crushed stone emerge from the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Borrow Pit Vineyard, a more medium-bodied, firm, focused, nicely concentrated 2019. It's not a blockbuster, but I like the overall balance. It's going to benefit from 2-4 years of bottle age and should have upwards of two decades of longevity.” - Jeb Dunnuck, May 4, 2022
