The 2023 season saw ideal conditions. Heavy winter and early spring rains alleviated the drought, refilling groundwater reserves and reservoirs and increasing soil moisture for healthy vine vigor and a delayed budbreak. Cooler weather held steady, lengthening hang-times and culminating in elegance that beautifully reflects the unique terroir. Harvest began significantly later than usual, with Cabernet arriving in the last two weeks of October. Overall, the quality was exceptional. Prolonged ripening mitigated green flavors and tannins, resulting in a fresh, harmoniously balanced wine.
