A deep violet color sets the stage for classic Cabernet Sauvignon aromas of plum preserves, black cherry and crème de cassis. Rich and full bodied, the palate shows distinct notes of blackberry, blueberry jam and cocoa accented by oak spice and vanilla.
This Cabernet Sauvignon is picked at the peak of flavor development from top sites across Napa and Sonoma. Fermentation occurs in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with frequent pump-overs to maximize color and flavor extraction. The wine is then aged for 20 months in French oak barrels, 20% new, for a warm, vanilla complexity. A splash of Petite Sirah, a classic Napa variety during the Prohibition era, is blended in for authenticity and an infusion of body and spice.
