Lineup

  • 12 oz. Filet mignon steak
  • 6 King's Hawaiian© Original Hawaiian Sweet Dinner Rolls
  • 2 Tbsp Unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup Inglehoffer© Cream Style Horseradish
  • 1/4 cup Pickled red onions
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. salt
  • 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 small red onion

 

 

Game Plan

  • Slice filet into six 2-oz. medallions.
  • Heat a cast iron skillet to high heat.
  • In a saucepan, bring the rice vinegar, water, sugar, and salt to a boil. Stir until dissolved. Pour over shaved red onion and place in refrigerator.
  • Butter and split rolls. Slightly toast and remove from pan.
  • Season filets generously with salt and black pepper.
  • Sear filets for 3 minutes on each side, remove and let rest.
  • Assemble sliders and top with horseradish and arugula.
  • Garnish with speared gherkin and pearl onion
