Our Modern Heritage Collection honors the brothers’ legacy with classic Napa varietals, and celebrates their pioneering achievements with a modern style. The Modern Heritage blends created by Winemaker Laurie Hook reflect the remarkable collection of Napa Valley vineyards and unique winemaking legacy that Beringer has been known for since 1876.
Aromas of cranberry and sweet pastry are followed by notes of white pepper, pomegranate, and spiced raspberries. A hint of orange rind and subtle brown spices carries into a round, plush fruit core and pleasing finish.
Unabashedly rich and buttery, the 2010 Sbragia Chardonnay delivers heady scents of Meyer lemon, ripe fig and honeydew melon with a hint of vanilla cupcake. The concentrated, multi-layered flavors of citrus, peach, crème brûlée and toasted marshmallow are carried by an unctuous, full-bodied mid-palate and bolstered by a bracing acidity which keeps the wine lively and bright. This is a Chardonnay lover’s wine, bearing the unmistakable imprint of Beringer’s long time winemaker Ed Sbragia.
Aromas of orange blossom, pear and ginger are complemented by flavors of stone fruit, and orange zest. A slight spicy note of white ginger lingers into the finish on this refreshing, fruit forward blend that is ideal for sipping on a warm day or evening.
This Zinfandel has toned aromas of pomegranate and Bing cherry that lead to appealing flavors of plum, boysenberry, black licorice and sage. Lightly oaked with notes of mocha and black pepper, the wine's gutsy tannins provide a firm, structured mouthfeel carefully balanced with a zesty acidity that guides it to a clean yet lingering finish.
