Unabashedly rich and buttery, the 2010 Sbragia Chardonnay delivers heady scents of Meyer lemon, ripe fig and honeydew melon with a hint of vanilla cupcake. The concentrated, multi-layered flavors of citrus, peach, crème brûlée and toasted marshmallow are carried by an unctuous, full-bodied mid-palate and bolstered by a bracing acidity which keeps the wine lively and bright. This is a Chardonnay lover’s wine, bearing the unmistakable imprint of Beringer’s long time winemaker Ed Sbragia.
The 2012 Luminus has a striking purity of fruit, and showcases bright citrus characteristics and a beautiful minerality. It has a robust acidity, notes of lemon pith, almond extract, and a silky, elegant texture.
